Miraculous Medal

The miraculous medal was minted by the will of the Madonna, expressed willingness to St. Catherine Laboure the 27th of November 1830 in Paris. Our Lady said to Sister:
"Make a medal upon this model, the people who will bring it with confidence will receive great graces".
The Madonna was dressed in white with arms outstretched to the world, the fingers emanated beams of light of different brightness and there was the inscription: "O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee". On the downside there were twelve stars (the 12 apostles), the letter M (Mary) surmounted by a cross and under the heart of Jesus surrounded by a crown of thorns and the heart of Mary pierced by a sword.
